Some residents also pay for sober housing through scholarships, loans or credit cards. We welcome new residents who are committed to living a life of continued sobriety. Applicants must be over 18 years old and haven’t used drugs or alcohol within 14 days. Residents are ofter referred from treatment or other clinical or judicial settings, but many residents self-refer to our homes.

Drugs and alcohol will be strictly prohibited and random drug testing will occur in order to ensure compliance. You will need to take the necessary steps toward recovery from your previous drug or alcohol addiction. Participation in group therapy and/or AA meetings or NA meetings might be expected of you. Just as well, there will be house chores that you are responsible for and a curfew that you must keep.

Do I really need a sponsor in AA?
Having an AA sponsor is not required, but it is very advantageous. Sponsors are people in recovery who offer mentorship to facilitate recovery. By engaging with a sponsor, the person in recovery gains access to support and accountability, which would be hard to get elsewhere.
